Learning about unconditional love and acceptance
That is what this painting is called.
It was just a few years ago that I painted this. Started right around the same time of year. At the time wasn’t sure what was in store for us, and here we are getting ready to embark on more change.
Change.
Embrace it.
While we were in Iowa these two joined the party.
These cute adopted brother and sister made the cold days fly by and the warm days happy!
We went looking for one, but couldn’t split the siblings. They behave just like children. One moment carrying on, the next all sweet as can be.
Don’t be fooled. They each take a turn at instigating shenanigans.
If you recall from my last entries (if you can even remember them, ha!) we moved from the warm climate of the South to the cold Winters of Iowa.
The area we lived in had around 3,000-5,000 people during the Winter months and could swell to 50,000 in the Summer.
It was nice, but limited on shopping, etc.
The nearest Target was 90 miles away.
I need not say more for those who know me.
We are, on the move, again.

I had a friend ask me about two weeks ago if I had blocked her from my blog.
She hadn’t seen any posts from me lately.
No, of course not! I told her.
My mind wanted to think of all these excuses of why I had not posted anything. But, with every excuse I could think of, I would also think of a rebuttal. If I had one, than for sure, she would come back with the same one. (She knows me, and she’s like that)
Then I confessed.
I’ve been lazy in posting.
You’d think that conversation would have kick started me to write something.
Well it did, sort of….in my head on the way to the airport.
Here it is two weeks later and I finally decided to “just do it” as Nike would say.
I’ll work on a post for tomorrow to fill you in on what’s been happening these past few months.
Don’t worry, there hasn’t been any film offers on what’s been going on. 🙂
Safely arrived to see what the future has in store for us.
Minnesota greeted us with warm 70’s weather.
For two days.
Followed today by weather in the 30’s with snow flurries.
Well now.
This Northeastern & Southern transplant is quite fond of her flip flops.
I’m not giving them up that easy,
Not only that, the convertible is supposed to be here in two days.
Don’t ya know. 🙂
Does anyone else ever wonder why some people follow their blogs?
I don’t think I’m that witty.
Well, okay, I can be sometimes.
I’m random. I’m a sporadic writer, at best at the present.
I think I do a pretty good job picking out those who just “like” a post or “follow” me for the sole purpose to build up their audience base.
But then there are those people who make me go hmmm.
What did I say that peaked their interest? They don’t seem to comment. So, hmm, I wonder.
Perhaps I am a character for an upcoming writing project.
I wonder if I’m the main character or just a walk on?
I better get busy providing more material, I mean I could be the main character!
Oh, the pressure of the thought! Ha!
